June 28: Travel Day

Pre-College students begin their travels to Paris.  Please see the Travel Information document in your digital locker for details regarding the escorted flight.

June 29: Arrival Day, Paris

Arrival on campus:
Students traveling from New York on the escorted flight land and transfer with Putney staff members to our Paris campus.  If you are meeting us at our residence in Paris, below, please plan to arrive between 9:00 AM and 12:00 noon.  A Pre-College staff member will be there to welcome you when you arrive.

June 29–July 11: Les Maisons Internationales de la Jeunesse et des Étudiants, Paris

Our campus in Paris is the dormitory-style MIJE residence, located in the heart of the Marais neighborhood (4ème arrondissement), a short walk from the Seine river and Notre Dame Cathedral on the Île-St-Louis.

During the day, students explore the city with their seminar groups, working in teams with the guidance of their Pre-College instructors.  All students take a day trip to the Palace of Versailles and venerable cathedral of Chartres, the Atlantic coast of Normandy, and may also travel with their seminar groups to nearby points of interest such as the Musée du Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, and Notre Dame Cathedral.

July 12: Departure Day

Departure from campus:
Students on the escorted flight travel with Putney staff members to the airport and on to New York.  Please see the Travel Information document in your digital locker for details about the escorted return flight.  If you will be picked up at our residence in Paris, please plan to depart campus between 9:00 AM and 12:00 noon.

Continuing on to a second-session Pre-College Program:
Students who are continuing on to Pre-College Shanghai, Barcelona, or Florence travel with a Putney staff member or escort to their second-session program.  Please see the Travel Information document in your digital locker for details.
